Crunch and Sip

Every day students are encouraged to bring in a fresh piece of fruit or vegetables (crunch) and a bottle of water (sip). At some point through the day the students will have the opportunity in class to take a break and refuel their bodies with a healthy and nutrious snack, this assists physical and mental performance and concentration in the classroom. During crunch and sip teachers take the opportunity to do modelled reading, share news or explain the next lesson to students. This is a beneficial program that is being run throughout the school, which also ties in nicely with our nutrition unit.
